2023 Overview

Mitch Smolik

VP of Engineering

Mitch Smolik serves as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing capital projects with $500MM annual investments. Mitch was responsible for Javelina Refinery Off-gas Processing Plant in Corpus Christi, a unique and complex asset making a positive impact on the environment by recycling refinery off-gas into purity hydrocarbons and olefin products. With over 15 years of experience, Mitch served as Senior Engineer at ONESUBSEA, managing large-scale subsea structural projects for the upstream sector. As Senior Research Engineer at Southwest Research Institute, he worked on research and product development, including experimental engines and hydrogen and CO2 transmission. Mitch holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University at Kingsville.
