Gus Vasquez is an economist with over 20 years of experience in the crude oil industry, has been with Argus in Houston since the beginning of 2008 and is now the Senior Editor for Americas Crude. Prior to that he was a member of Argus’ European crude team, based out of London, where he covered the North Sea, Mediterra­nean, Russian and west African waterborne crude markets.

Before joining Argus in 2006, he spent four years as a market analyst for Venezuela’s national oil company PdV, working out of their London office for their business intelligence department.
