Dan Romito

Managing Director – Consulting & Advocacy



Dan Romito is the Managing Director overseeing the Consulting & Advocacy practice at Pickering Energy Partners. With a career dedicated to guiding capital-intensive businesses through the complexities of global regulatory landscapes and capital markets, Dan is a trusted advisor to private companies, public issuers, and asset managers in the Energy, Industrials, Materials, Utilities, and Healthcare sectors. His expertise lies in striking a balance between sustainability strategies and capital discipline while helping organizations access quality capital pools, implement pragmatic sustainability initiatives, and refine stakeholder management strategies.

Before establishing the Consulting & Advocacy practice at Pickering, Dan built a distinguished career at Nasdaq, where he developed investor analytics platforms and innovative business solutions. He spearheaded the creation of Nasdaq’s Strategic Capital Intelligence offerings, which included tools like the ESG Advisory Service and the Activist Diagnostic, among others. An accomplished author, Dan has published over 45 articles on topics such as Energy Policy, Sustainability, and Shareholder Activism, with his work featured in esteemed outlets like Harvard Business Review and Bloomberg. A University of Chicago graduate with an MBA in Finance from DePaul University, Dan also serves on the IPAA Capital Markets Committee and advises Marquette University's Sustainability Lab.
